--There's not much to do but talk about the weather, is there? I can't tell if it's getting better or worse. Someone mentioned gas masks; that's probably not a bad idea. [--just in case--] Wasn't something built in these? How do you get them to turn on?

Or maybe not. ... Just do me a favor and let me know if you feel like you're getting radiation poisoning. I'd like to avoid that if I can.

[An open feed. The silence is interrupted by a long, tortured meow and the distant sounds of someone turning over in his sleep. A few seconds later the meowing is replaced by the blasting of his favorite song, followed almost immediately by loud banging noises mixed with shouts and curses as he tries to turn it off again--

"The hell is that still doing on there..." He had to be the one to request music for these damn things. That's when he realizes the channel is open and the voice becomes more clear.]

No favor goes unpunished, huh?

[After a deeply annoyed groan and a distinctly cheerful meow from behind, the feed ends.]


(ooc: To sum up recent log events - After very careful planning, Spike and Smoker went to get Nagi away from Genkaku. Excusing a few life threatening injuries and Nagi being insane, it was a complete success. Spike's spent most of his time since then sleeping, which may or may not have been coma related.

Now let's never speak of it again.

Really had to go the long way around to track you down. Almost thought you were avoiding me. But I won't take it personally. I know how easy it is to get distracted.

Starting to think this place has an obsession with ghosts.

[A long, drawn out pause, and then the typical sounds of a lighter being worked.]

This might be a bad time, but there have been more of you showing up; I don't guess that anyone is good with repairs? I have something I need looked at. I'd do it myself, but so far hitting the thing against a table hasn't fixed it.

[He starts to say something else, but instead adds almost offhandedly--]

And Makina, sorry, but I'm going to have to pass on the witch hunt after all. I've got other plans.

[Shuffling noises. Spike is walking alone, who knows where, making conversations with himself.]

I'm getting hungry.

It's a shame they don't have any restaurants around here. Thought we'd get a real chef sooner or later. ...Maybe if I put in a request, we'd get some decent food for once.
